Privacy Policy

WealthLock is built on a simple principle: your gambling-recovery data is yours. Your protected-app choices, interruption history, and entered amounts stay on your device.

Information the app does not collect

WealthLock does not operate an account system or recovery-data database. We do not receive your protected-app choices, Screen Time history, interruption history, entered amounts, or accountability contact.

Information stored on your device

• Your selection of apps and websites, managed through Apple's Family Controls framework.
• Your history of interrupted decisions, optional amounts, and illustrated opportunity values.
• Your Time Lock, onboarding, and accountability settings.
• Your purchase entitlement status, validated through Apple's StoreKit.

This information is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData and App Group container. Deleting WealthLock removes its locally stored app data.

Apple Screen Time

WealthLock uses Apple's Family Controls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to protect the apps and websites you select. These frameworks are sandboxed by iOS. WealthLock cannot read your Screen Time activity history or browsing history, and Apple does not provide that information to us.

Subscriptions and payments

Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see your payment method or billing information. Apple provides the app with purchase-entitlement status so it can determine whether Full Protection is active.

Accountability tools

If you add an accountability contact, the contact is stored locally. Following a bypass, WealthLock opens Apple's native Mail or Messages composer with a pre-filled message. You review and send the message yourself. WealthLock does not transmit or retain the contact or message on our servers.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

WealthLock uses PostHog for limited product analytics about onboarding and subscription or paywall interactions. We do not send protected-app selections, Screen Time or browsing history, interruption history, wager estimates or amounts, accountability contacts or messages, or specific lock settings. Session replay, advertising, cross-app tracking, and named user profiles are disabled. PostHog receives anonymous product-interaction events and basic app or device context for analytics. The website does not use advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. Like most websites, its hosting provider may process standard request information for security and delivery.

Children

WealthLock is intended for adults managing their own gambling behavior. It is not designed for children or for monitoring another person. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can remove protected apps and websites, turn off protection when no active lock prevents it, or delete WealthLock to remove its locally stored data. Subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple Settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes to how the app handles data will also be communicated in the app.
