WealthLock is built on a single principle: your gambling-recovery data is yours, and it never leaves your device. This page explains what that means in practice.
Nothing. WealthLock does not collect, store, transmit, or analyze any personal information on our servers. We do not run servers that hold your data.
All of the above is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData and the App Group container. Deleting the app removes all of it.
WealthLock uses Apple's Family Controls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to intercept the apps you've selected. These frameworks are sandboxed by iOS — even WealthLock cannot read your activity history. The shield is applied locally on your device. Apple does not share your Screen Time data with us.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see your payment method or any billing information. We receive only an anonymous receipt indicating whether you have an active subscription.
If you choose to set up an Accountability Partner, WealthLock will send a one-line notification to the contact you specify — and only to that contact — at the moment you attempt to bypass the shield. The contact information you provide is stored locally on your device. We do not retain it on our servers.
The notification is delivered either through a webhook hosted on infrastructure we control or via your iPhone's native SMS composer. In the webhook path, we transmit only the contact you provided, the name of the app you tried to bypass, and a timestamp. We do not log identifying information about you on our servers.
WealthLock contains no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs, no marketing trackers. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing is collected.
WealthLock is designed for adults 18 and older working to manage their own gambling behavior. It is not designed for use by, or supervision of, children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Because we do not hold any personal data, there is no data for us to give you, correct, or delete on our side. Deleting WealthLock from your iPhone permanently removes all locally-stored data.
If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and announce the change inside the app before it takes effect.
